The toro powershovel is a great hybrid. Sure its a lot more than a good snow shovel, but its less than more expensive snowthrowers. I use a 40' and 80' extension cord to do my 45' driveway, walkway, steps and back parking area. This little guy does a great job. I can push it with one hand, slowly walking behind and angling the thrown snow off to one side (the snow does shoot 20' so be aware of others). After a few quick passes the job is done. Even deeper compacted snow that builds up due to the plows is easily handled by lowering the powershovel onto the snow.Customer Review: Love this snow thrower

I'm a woman in my mid 40's and not as strong as I used to be. Yesterday we had 12+ inches. My gas powered snow thrower was giving me problems as far as starting it up, and I was actually exhausted before I even started cleaning up the snow. It ended up stalling out on me and I couldn't get it restarted. I bought this out of desperation.
It just cut thru 12+ inches on my sidwalk (down to the cement) like it was "buttah". I can't say enough good things about this snow thrower. It's really going to make my life easier in the wintertime.

Bought this as a gold box deal three days before Christmas. (Thanks Amazon for getting it to me on Christmas Eve.) Of course as soon as I got it - no more snow. Just had the opportunity to check it out. Last night 20" of snow fell. As other reviewers have stated you do have to lift it in deep snow. Using it like a weedwacker I moved snow from my deck, my sidewalk and part of my driveway. I kept up with the snowfall during the day and it moved 4" +/- with no problems and no lifting. For a $100 snowblower I'm quite satisfied.Customer Review: Great buy for the money!!!!

We have had an incredible amount of snow this year and this power horse saved my back and mind. It is the best money I have ever spent. It works well!!!! You do have to watch what way the wind blows as it will come back and hit you in the face if you are facing the wrong direction. I bought it as I have a deck and stairs and a long driveway and it does what it says. I have done alot of research on these power shovels and this is the best one. If you are tetering this is the one to buy. I recommend HIGHLY!!!!Customer Review: Forever lasting tool..

Yes, this machine is survivor of my often highly neglected care. It's in my possession over 11 years, last two summers I left it "summerize" outdoors. It's quite rusty by now, but when the snow came, light or heavy, I plugged it in and it was running and doing it's job. The only disadvantage is, that it throws the snow only ahead; for that only reason I want to buy new machine with adjustable direction of snow throw.
It's great machine, no maintenance needed. For this sale price it's fantastic investment!
